New Depot Plan at Mott Haven Expands NYC Rail Service
The New York Central and Hudson River Railway proposes a new large depot at Mott Haven opposite the current station. Eight land parcels were purchased to relieve Grand Central’s crowding. Local trains and most through trains would stop there, with Madison Avenue cars feeding Harlem riders to the new hub. Through-train passengers could check trunks at Mott Haven, and the Forty-Second Street terminal would gain enhanced facilities. Construction progresses with roofing in place and rails laid, and a direct link to the Forty-Second Street spur will allow city car connections without street transit.

New process bread debate and advocates from Farmers' Advocate
The article argues roller bran is richer in ash and protein than roller flour and questions the nutritive value of new process bread. It condemns excessive refinement, warns that digestion varies by labor level, and laments attempts to separate wheat into components rather than eating its integral form.
