In Springfield this morning, Michael Moe Elligott, a Boston & Albany railroad employee, fired at his wife while intoxicated and wounded her 4 month old baby held in her arms. The bullet lodged under the heart, but no vital organs were hit. the infant’s life may be saved. Elligott threatened officers before surrendering and tossing the revolver into a stove.
