Fire destroys main section of Amherst barn
Amherst August 15 The largest barn at Massachusetts Agricultural College burned early today. The main barn was totally destroyed while a dairy wing separated by a cement wall was saved. Total loss about 50000 with 80000 on the building, 4000 on machinery, 4500 on hay and grain, and livestock including two Ayrshire bulls and 11 calves lost.
