At 11 30 a m yesterday a committee of the Waiters Alliance presented Charles G. Wyman, owner of five Wyman depots on Spring Lane and other streets, with a contract demanding at least 10 a week for steady men and 4 a week plus 50 cents per hour overtime for noon men. Wyman refused and discharged the waiters. alliance officers say wages offered are reasonable given prior pay and hours, citing reports of 3 1/2 hour noon shifts for 3 a week and higher weekly sums for steady staff.
