Leland Kingston aged 18 son of Mr and Mrs John I Kingston of Leominster was drowned today at Lake Waushacum Sterling when his canoe upset. He had visited a friend at a Sunday camp and his mother, who dreamed of his drowning, warned him to be careful. The body was recovered.
Authorities fear a plan to abduct Clarence Adams a noted burglar is in motion. A two night pattern of car convoys near his home mirrors a possible escape attempt and three keepers have been posted at Adams residence for his protection until he can be moved to safety.

James H. Fermoyle, Arlington master painter, was assaulted and robbed Saturday afternoon between 5:45 and 6:30. Police seek four men seen at a Green Street barroom. two were former employees. Fermoyle had asked for money earlier at Murphy’s paint store and was last seen drinking with the four men. The crime scene remains unclear, with the vacant lot acting as a possible hideout.
