Record of Massive Mahogany and Cedar Cargo Arrival

The steamer Mancunia from Nicaragua docked yesterday with what is described as the largest cargo of mahogany and cedar ever brought here. It included 2524 logs of mahogany averaging 8 to 10 tons each, the largest at 22 feet long and 6 feet in diameter weighing about 15 tons. The ship also carried 19 percent cedar logs.

Dinner on Winifredian Marks Maiden Boston Voyage

A reception and dinner aboard the Leyland liner Winifredian celebrated its maiden Boston voyage from Liverpool. Fogbound harbor traffic clears for afternoon trip

Seaman Rescued After Overboard Fall At Long Wharf

Reserve Officer Tighe of Division 2 and Watchman Arthur Johnson of Long wharf rescued Michael Hoey a 50 year old seaman from the Reina Ventura after he fell overboard at 2:20 a m while attempting to board his ship. The vessel lay at Long wharf.
