Cuban Teachers Visit Nantasket Beach

About 250 Cuban teachers visited Nantasket for a beach outing. They dined at the Pacific House and Atlantic House and showed interest in the town’s reservation. They puzzled over Nantasket’s two separate police forces of twenty men and the different blue and gray uniforms.

Fishermen Stole Chain. Apprehended by Charlestown Police

Two tramp fishermen, Thomas Barrett and Keren Connolly both 40, appeared in Charlestown yesterday and were locked up on larceny charges. They allegedly stole forty feet of iron chain from John Southey Machine Company to use as an anchor. The chain was recovered. They claimed no home and no fixed abode.
