Tragic Cambridgeport Freight Train Death Of 9 Year Old

A 9 year old boy Clarence Hobbs was crushed between two cars of a freight train on the Boston and Albany lines near Main street Cambridgeport. He died instantly while watching the move. Companions Devin Riley and Robert McNamee were nearby. The body was taken to Undertaker Litchfield's and examined by Medical Examiner Swan. Father Jeremiah R. Hobbs resides at Hotel Shirley on School Street Cambridgeport.

Sullivan Arrested in Haswell Murder Case on Fall River

Daniel D. Sullivan a 45 year old plumber was arrested in New York as he stepped from the Fall River boat on suspicion of murdering Anthony J. Haswell in Providence last month. He is held at police headquarters. State Officer Doran sought quick transfer to Providence with no extradition papers but was blocked by a steamboat squad officer. Two other Providence suspects are in custody. Sullivan says he was in New York when the murder occurred.
