Bills to Incorporate Local Firms and City-Legal Measures

In the April 26 session the House heard committee reports including bills to incorporate the Rotary Smoothing Iron Company with $50,000 capital and the New Jess Blank Book Ruling and Paging Company with $5,000. Bills to incorporate the Model Lodging House Association and to regulate the Second Hospital for the Insane advanced, along with a clerk employment provision for the board of agriculture and finance for loan and fund associations. A Charlestown annexation measure stalled. Incendiarism bill moved to engrossment, lumber survey bill amended and passed for third reading with six month city council acceptance condition. Reconsiderations on lumber survey amendments rejected. the bill to survey lumber remained engrossed. Also advanced were Moody House Hotel Company and Traders Mutual Fire Insurance Co bills. A motion to take from the table the South Boston flats improvement bill was defeated 36 to 13.
