Former President Roosevelt rails at Taft calling the square deal crooked and warns of taft-supported bosses. He says Taft’s leadership harmed the people, calls Taft’s assaults indecent, and declares he values Illinois delegates over Lorimer on a confidential letter issue.
In Worcester on April 26 a large crowd filled Meanies Hall to witness former President Roosevelt. The ex leader faced harsh personal taunts as he attacked President Taft, with the audience applauding the incident and shouting epithets rarely heard on a public platform in this state.

She slipped near the wheels but was rescued by the hunter’s grip, hauled to safety amid cheers before he declared his speech in Worcester would be the speech of his life.
