May Scribner’s May issue features Broadway tribute and literary notices
The May Scribner’s magazine showcases a Broadway focus with Richard Harding Davis on the New Yorkers sacred way, aided by Frost sketches, and critiques of style. It includes Lieutenant Jerrold Kelley on The Ship's Company, E H House on The Transfer of the Temples of Ise, and Alexander Cargill on Shakespeare as an Actor with prints and portraits. Sullivan’s Toledo Blade fuels fiction, plus Stevenson and Octave Thanet contributions and a puzzling Saint Andrews setting with a rector tribute, all amid mixed reception of narration and character portrayals.
