New York April 26 Police Sergeant Crowley an ex deputy United States marshal was arrested this afternoon charged with ravishing Meggie Morris 16. They met at a dell last night and at gunpoint he forced her into a billiard room where he outraged her while a barkeeper William Blint stood guard at the door. Blint was also arrested. A fire in the Henry Bonnard Bronze Company building on Mercer Street destroyed the mould for Garibaldi statue for Central Park. The mould for Col Wadley statue was saved. Dr. Robert Cowle died after being pushed from a store by John Miner and his son Charles of Brooklyn who were arrested on the murder charge.
