Samuel P Churchill, 32, a blasting and excavation worker for street water pipes, was instantly killed this afternoon in Lowry MAS when a dynamite cartridge exploded in his hand while he attached a fuse with a cap. His abdomen and chest were torn, arms broken, face disfigured. He leaves a wife and infant child. Born in Canada, he had lived here about five years.
