Conference Opens Today in Bucksport Maine

The Mast Maine Methodist conference meets in Bucksport for its 66th annual session. Ministers prepared for the ministry were examined by boards today. The opening address by Bishop Theodore S. Henderson is set for 8:50 Wednesday, and the conference sermon will be delivered by Rev. F. K. Gamble of Calais.

Radcliffe Girls Sing with Harvard Men in Joint Concert

Over 80 musicians from the Harvard and Radcliffe Glee Clubs performed a joint concert at Sanders Theatre Cambridge last evening with 500 attendees. It marked the first collaboration of the two institutions and featured Professor Spalding and Dr. A. T. Davison as accompaniers and F. E. Kendrie on violin. Hank the Hermit gets a Black Hand scare noted in the comic section.

Irish Flag Returned to Ferris

Hugh Ferris recovered his green flag once raised from the City Hall annex pillar. The banner, made with a gold harp, sparked a clash that led Mayor Fitzgerald to order it removed. Ferris climbed the pillar to retrieve and place it back, saying he did it to honor the new annex.

Irish flag dispute ends with court return ruling

Hugh Ferris retrieved his cherished flag after accusing Barney Hanrahan of larceny. Judge Murray ordered Hanrahan to return the banner, quipping about Erin heraldry as Ferris described his Irish pride and witness costs totaling $45.
