Warships reposition as monitors depart Key West harbor
At Key West on April 22 early morning two warships move out from the inner harbor while three remain. The flagship Amphitrite and the gunboat Helena are suspected to be among the departing vessels. Signalling continues and searchlights on the Iowa and the New York sweep the outer waters.

Quarrel Leaves Holmes Cut. Police Seek Muldoon Suspect
Philip Holmes, 27, of 5 Ohio Street, was badly cut last night at 174 Pleasant Street in a quarrel with a colored man known to police as Muldoon. Holmes was taken to City Hospital and will recover. Police are searching for the assailant.
