Geddes on British Empire and Ireland Draws Criticism

The passage critiques Sir Auckland Geddes for misframing the British empire as a community of nations and questions his Ireland policy. It disputes his view of self rules within the empire, argues many nations within a single empire cannot exist, and cites historical figures to challenge his diplomacy and motives. It notes calls for Irish self determination and doubts England's treatment of dependent peoples.

England as Impartial Judge in Ireland Speaks to Union Message

In a discussion on Ireland, Geddes challenges England to fairly judge democratic liberty while warning that union or separation is the choice for Ireland. He argues American history rejects imperialism and calls on England to heed the meaning of self determination for America. The talk is followed by eye care lecture from Dr Henry V. McLaughlin. William Osbourne is presented a ring on retirement, with John Foley presiding as Central Council president.
