National Democratic Convention set for Chicago July 4 1864
At a meeting of the National Democratic Committee in New York it was unanimously voted to hold the next National Democratic Convention for presidential nominees in Chicago on Monday July 4 1864. The Sept 7 1863 vote fixed each state's delegates at twice its electoral votes.
