George A. Holland died at his home after an accident at a vacant lot on St. Botolph Street near Garrison. The hammer is a 16-pound iron ball on a four foot hickory handle, swung by athletes who release the hammer at momentum peak. Holland watched Wednesday afternoon when the hammer allegedly escaped control.
