The Banes of Colon Panama arrives from Port Antonio Jamaica with fruit as Chief Officer Borch leads the crew in mass resignation except for Captain C N Colson. The sailors allege substandard food and say repeated complaints produced no change and they went ashore for keeps.
Captain C N Colson and Chief Officer Borch describe a near mutiny by an American crew aboard the Banes, a Panama-flag fruit steamer. The vessel sailed from Boston on March 80 to Port Antonio Jamaica and up to the current location with cargo. The crew, many quitting, faced a tense situation with over 20 years at sea distinguished by Colson and Borch.
The Boston Americans with Cy Morgan on the mound defeated the Washington club 3 to 1 at Huntington Avenue grounds yesterday afternoon. Notable plays came from Thoney and Lord on base running and Morgan's pitching. In Brooklyn, the Doves lost 3 to 1 to Pitcher McIntyre as the Superbas hit Ferguson at timely moments.

After days of digging searchers recovered the bodies of Mrs Minnie Fenwick wife of Dr Fenwick Mrs Walter C Barnes of Glen Ridge N J Mrs Fenwick s niece Miss Vinie Boyer her servant and Timothy Foley of Shawmut street in the Chelsea ruins The death toll is now 13 with more digging planned and estimates suggesting 30 to 50 dead overall.

The Chelsea Creek bridge is cited as another site of fatalities with people seen crossing and then falling as the structure collapsed.

Remains of Mrs Minnie L Fenwick, her niece Mrs Walter C Barnes and servant Vinie Boyer were found behind Dr J B Fenwick’s Chestnut Street home. A watch engraved M F M helped identify Mrs Barnes's mother.
The identified dead include Mrs Elizabeth E Bonney 62 Chester Avenue James H Cole 397 Broadway Mrs John Hare 76 years 96 Fourth Street Mrs Walter C Barnes Glen Ridge New Jersey Mrs Annie Smith 239 Congress Avenue Mrs Minnie L Fenwick 181 Chestnut Street Miss Vnn ie Boyer 181 Chestnut Street.
Several bodies are found in derelict sites. A man believed to be Mr Shea or Mr McNamara is unidentifiable at unknown address. A young woman bones are uncovered at 12 Watts street ruins. Remains possibly Timothy Foley found at 130 Shaw mut street. A 21 year old male body is at North Grove street morgue after discovery near East Boston bridge. A middle aged woman remains unidentified.
Forecasts show fair weather in Boston and New England Friday and Saturday with warmer temperatures. Winds shift from light variables to fresh east and southeast directions.
