Medford April 16 John Bradley aged 54 a Boston letter carrier was killed at Park street station when a train struck him as he descended to the track. The engine wheels severed his head from his body and the remains were taken to the police station.

In Somersworth New Hampshire two robbers fatally struck cashier Joseph Stickney during a noon hour heist at the Great Falls National Bank. About $6000 in cash and a large stake of U S bonds were taken while overn a hundred thousand in bonds were left. Suspects Don Hartigan and John Briggs were later arrested in Waltham with Hartigan identified by a farmer as one of the assailants. The crime triggered a citywide manhunt and intense public anger as investigators traced a bag carried by a tall Italian looking man and a buggy with a dark horse along Prospect Street.
