Hartford April 12 The prohibitory amendment to the constitution was rejected in the house. Two-thirds needed, 135 votes, but the tally stood 128 yeas 81 nays. The senate passed a bill allowing railroads under the state law to consolidate stock and property with outside lines forming a continuous link. The senate also rejected a bill requiring free passes for legislators.
