Boston to Naperville Notes From Kittrell NC Visit
Correspondent from Kittrell North Carolina shares a Boston traveler’s impressions of a spring visit. He describes the hotel scene and local hospitality, the spring’s healthful air, quail hunting in the woods, and the mix of freedmen and white Southerners. He notes Easter celebrations, colored Methodist activities, and social contrasts in a plantation era setting.
