Bell Telephone declares dividend and transfer book dates

Harvard May Aid Cuban Teachers Housing Plan

Waterfront Wreath of Vessels Keeps Harbor Busy

The Prince Edward arrived from New York with 13 passengers and anchored off Long Wharf. The Prince Arthur filled a vacancy as the fleet of D A R vessels gathered, while Dewey and Wolcott craft waited nearby. A towboat fleet and eight fishing vessels sailed in with haddock and cod weighing in at 225000 pounds valued at $2.25 to $4 per hundred. The Sara Ropes cargoed to Sierra Leone and a Marengo buoy was found near the Scottish King wreck. The Minneapolis liner joins Atlantic Transport Company fleet and Cunarders Ivernia Saxonia compare in length to Altonia. Towboats showed off to Boston on a trial run, and repairs continued on the Californian with deck fixes and grain removal.

Harvard plans aid for Cuban teachers at Fourth of July

A conference at City Hall outlined a plan for local tr ia t ic societies to cooperate with city government in welcoming 1450 Cuban teachers arriving for Harvard summer school to take part in the Fourth of July celebration. Mayor Hart endorses the plan and will urge the Fourth of July committee to consider it.
