WAYS AND MEANS EXAMINE WADDELL ON SANBORN CONTRACT

The Ways and Means Committee held another session on the Sanborn matter and examined William C. Waddell and his son Lloyd D. Waddell of New York under oath. They discussed their role in gathering information on unpaid legacy and succession taxes later used by Coughlin and the district attorney. The elder Waddell offered ten percent compensation as a possible rate, while the contract with Sanborn was annulled. Butler demanded to be present to cross examine and stated he would cooperate fully.
