Three Fires Reported In One Hour At City Blocks

A lace curtain blew over a gas jet on the second floor of a three and a half story building at 17 Rutland Street, causing $100 damage. The home, occupied by William Whally and owned by Mary Stone, was alerted from Box 76. A gasoline lamp exploded at 8 Hampshire Street, burning a small amount and reported at 7:57 PM. The two story house is owned by D. D. Murray and occupied by Ty Donovan. The alarm came from Box. At 8 PM a still alarm sent Engine 6 to a first floor location on De ai ae caries street, a grain establishment owned by Mendeerg, with unknown origin and minor loss.
