Tetrazzini Delights Crowd Despite Hoarseness In Concert

The third group on the programme featured Mme Tetrazzini who, though slightly out of breath and with some hoarseness, delivered a masterful performance. She captivated the audience with stage manner and charm before singing, then earned applause with two encores. Her voice shows better balance with improved middle and lower registers, even as fortissimo passages appear brassy. The singer’s poise and artistry left the crowd eager for more encores.
