The Lebanon, a two masted steel screw steamer built in 1894 by the Cramp shipyard for Philadelphia & Reading Transportation Co, has been disposed of to the government. At 246 ft long and 37 ft 4 in beam she can carry 1700 tons of coal and is powered by triple expansion engines. The Irrawaddy, another vessel, has also been secured for the same government use.
