Boston to use trolley cars for U S mail service

Boston will begin trolley mail delivery May 1 under West End and Assistant Postmaster-General Neilson. Six routes cover Back Bay Brookline Brighton to Cambridge Somerville and Dorchester with express cars and no passenger service. The 390 mile network cuts 21 minutes to Dorchester and saves time on South Boston trips under Superintendent Ryan.

Havemeyer Sugar Refinery to Restart Soon in New York

Burglars Strike Three Farms and Store Near Bemis Heights

On April 3 in Troy New York burglars visited Eugene Searles Bemis Heights Saratoga County demanding money but found none at his residence. They then hit Van Buren Searles and James Wallen and took 2100 from Wallen. Lynching of William Rawls Reported Near Newman ville

The body of William Rawls, captured by guards at Newman s ville in Alachua county, was found this morning hanging and shot. Rawls is said to have killed H. B. Kaul, a Newman s ville merchant, on March 27 to rob him. Rawls’s father was hanged four years ago for a similar crime.
