Burlesque Richard III at Howard Annexium

A new bill at Howard Annexium featured a burlesque on Richard III titled Naughty Dickey by the Adah Richmond Burlesque Troupe. Moses Fiske joined as Richard, and the program included Burgess in His Element, Boston by Gaylight and a strong supporting cast. Matinees run daily with varied attractions and a lively end to the evening.

Town Meeting Adopts Budget And Rebuffs Park Offer

The annual town meeting recessed after approving twenty nine articles. Col W T Grammer was chosen moderator and town officers’ reports were accepted. A vote rejected Hon Charles Choate’s land gift for a public park due to cost. Budgets were set across departments including schools set at 26 000 and 51 00 for school incidentals, fire 7 000, police 4 000, libraries 350, and town debt interest 12 000.
