Local shop promotes made up Eastertide suits for men youths and boys in lustreless black fabrics. Prices range from 8 to 25 dollars across age groups 9 to 19 with coats vests and trousers and jackets and knickers. Inspection invited and fabrics described as permanent and year round.

The steamship Juniata captained by Bond of the Merchants and Miners Transportation Company nearly wrecked on Toddy Rocks off Hull yesterday at 9 30 am while en route from Baltimore and Norfolk with freight and passengers. A steering gear failure forced the ship to anchor inside Boston Light where a chained shackle jammed, dragging the vessel toward the rocks. Captain Bond improvised hand steering, circled the light, and docked at Battery Wharf after confirming hand gear reliability. The ship carried nearly 8000 packages of garden truck. Toddy Rocks, feared by sailors, prompted caution for approaches in the harbor.
Mrs. Mary Gallagher of 4 Rochester Street South End waited all day for her son John H. Gallagher who has been missing eight years. The Saturday's Post stated he dreamed his mother alive in Boston and planned to travel there to search.

The Petrel incurred little damage as it remained in Dewey's fleet after the Manila battle.
Washington March 31 the White House and War Department said nothing had been received about alleged crooked work by army quartermasters in Laizon and the arrests of several people both in and out of the service remain unconfirmed.
