During the finale of Two Little Vagrants at Tremont Theatre E J Ratcliffe was injured in a staged fall. Aiming to escape props he fell awkwardly but was cushioned when Jessie Busley grabbed his collar breaking the shock. He was treated and hopes to perform again tonight.
A heated plea before the council urges immediate approval of the nurses home site bill. A. Shuman and L. G. Burnham lead trustees defending the site for the $100,000 nurses home given by bequest, warning against any land deal or delay and appealing to council members to act now for the city’s interests.

A Boston yacht owned by W. H. Spencer with J. Maloney and a 12-year-old boy aboard was driven off Orleans shore by a squall. They sent distress rockets and were rescued by the Orleans life-saving crew, then brought safely into harbor. The vessel remains at Nauset Harbor and will sail to Boston at the first opportunity.
Lawyers Lee and Bodine represent twelve crew members of the scurvy stricken ship T. F. Oakes in a federal suit seeking 93,138.50 dollars plus costs. The vessel has been seized by U S marshal's deputies.
Rollo Simpson, confidential agent of James A Cantlie & Co., woollen mill owners, is a defaulter to the amount of 70000 dollars and has left for the United States.
