Underground tomb unearthed during Adams house demolition

Workmen tearing down the Adams house on Washington Street exposed a hidden chamber about 15 feet below the foundation. Initial rocklike mass proved to be a masonry cover concealing a sealed space, sparking wide curiosity among scientists and local residents.
