Senate actions on land laws and debt bills in session

The Senate discussed a House concurrent resolution to add April 6 and a public lands inquiry into homestead law amendments counting army service toward the five year occupancy. A bill restricting secret gold or bond trades was sent to Ways and Means, while a public debt prepayment bill was reported and discharged. Debates covered scheduling April tours, Indiana appropriations, and a Tenure of Office act repeal report. Executive session followed and adjournment occurred.
