Insane man resists arrest as sheriff reels in suspect
A runaway couple from Sweetwater Tennessee stirred a domestic dispute that ended with warrants issued for John Carter and Mrs Susie Lemons. Carter fled, but the sheriff captured the woman at a farm near Dover while Lemons reconciled with her husband, who later caused a disturbance near Lebanon and was jailed after a violent struggle.

Splendid Open Air Lebanon Whitestown Concert Draws Big Crowd
A large crowd attended an open air concert by the Lebanon and vicinity band on the public square corner. About 124 autos with an average of three occupants yielded an estimated 372 listeners from cars. The forty piece band delivered high quality relays and expressed hope for a repeat next summer. In a separate incident Dr. W H Green escaped a crash when his car went into a ditch after meeting another vehicle on a narrow grade near Zionsville. The other driver failed to slow. Green veered off an embankment and escaped damage aside from a broken bow rocket and a Beritched fender.

Five Bank Robbers Nabbed After Terre Haute Hotel Heist
Five well dressed automobile bandits robbed guests at the Plaza hotel Terre Haute of over 1500 dollars. They fled toward Indianapolis in a Cadillac and were captured near Plainfield four hours later. Names given include William Miller, John Murray, Harry Lane, Joe Burch, and Max Hamburg. Authorities recovered the money and brought the suspects to Indianapolis. Miller is believed to be the gang leader.

Four hold-up men steal 1500 from Plaza hotel pool room
In Terre Haute at 3 this morning four masked robbers tied six men including owners Harry Lackey and Eddie Broadhurst in a basement pool room at the Plaza hotel. They escaped with 1500 dollars and jewelry while an alarm was raised and police tracked the car toward Indianapolis. A suspect named Spence, a New York crook, linked to recent visits, is believed to have planned the raid.
