Runaway Car Kills Local Lumber Worker
Jack Pell of South Lebanon street died in a runaway accident while helping unload a Metzger Lumber Company car. He and Cash Tolen had loaded lumber and the horses bolted toward the lumber yards. Pell attempted to halt the horses, fell, struck his head on the brick pavement and died shortly after at the Metzger office.
