Escapcd convict captured near Pittsboro Tuesday
Fred Clifford known as the slippery kid, an escaped Kentucky state reformatory convict, was captured at 10:40 Tuesday morning three and a half miles east of Pittsboro on the Casserly farm by David Worrell with others. He walked with injuries, claimed epilepsy, and asked to go home to Kentucky where his wife and two children live.
