A small plane tore the tail from an Allegheny jet over Indianapolis, causing both aircraft to crash into a soybean field. Eighty three people were killed in Indiana's worst airline disaster as a student pilot with about ten hours flying time piloted the private plane.
The Fannin County Home Demonstration Council will hold a rummage sale at the Peeler building on the square. All HD clubs in the county will participate. Bailey Inglish School boys in second and third grades eight years and older may join Cub Scouts Thursday afternoon. Robert Carey 34, a former Korean War air force member, soloed a Piper Cherokee to gain a private license for his wife and six children.
