The Bonham Jaycees run a Labor Day rest stop on East Sam Rayburn Drive from 6 pm Friday to late May night. Travelers from a dozen states and many parts of Texas stopped by for coffee doughnuts and rest with travel information provided. Traffic Jam Blues Saturday Morning On State Highways
Traffic on highways and Bonham streets was heavy Saturday as motorists headed to lakes and visits. Many vehicles pulled boats and campers. No serious morning accidents or injuries were reported, though a cow collided with a car in the Lannius area and a vehicle struck a tree trunk near US 82. Probation Revoked and Five Year Sentence Handed Down
Judge Henry Braswell in Sixth DistrictCourt revoked the probation of Charles William Tillibach and sentenced him to five years in the Texas Department of Corrections after a prior five year probated term for driving while intoxicated. County Attorney John J. Morris sought revocation for violated terms. Richard Pennell represented Tillibach and noted an appeal. An appeal bond of 10000 dollars was set. Butler appointed to represent Alfred Ray Bradshaw in hearings. Bradshaw returned from Mississippi to face a burglary indictment and had escaped from Fannin county jail in November 1974 while awaiting trial.
