Commerce Texas Nov 19 The Federated Ex-Students Association of the Seven State Teachers Colleges of Texas announces its banquet program to be held at the Blackstone Hotel Fort Worth Friday evening November 22. Dr Homer P Rainey UT President will deliver the principal address with music by North Texas State Teachers College. The theme centers on a Round Up of social educational political and economic forces and the preservation of democracy. A business session of association officers follows in the Blackstone Ballroom.

Ninety Masons and their wives attended a banquet at Trenton high school gymnasium Friday night hosted by the local lodge. J. C. McMillin served as master of ceremonies, Clarence Jones delivered the welcome, and Loyd Tarver of Bonham spoke along with several brief talks by Masons. Mrs. L. F. Southerland gave the benediction. Guests came from Mineral Wells Whitewright and Leonard.
Kit Reilly, singer and dancer, rescues a drunken stranger at a club. She takes him to her room where Fran Le Maze and she spend the night with the man who claims to be Vance Healey, a famous radio announcer and their college classmate. Kit doubts the claim.
Kit confronts a amnesiac guest about last night’s chaos at Luigi’s night club in the Village. She presses him to recall being Vance Healey and warns that misidentifying himself could bring trouble, while he reveals a cautious, amused side and his battered chin.
A radio star Vance Healey is accused of drunkenness in a scheme to ruin his image. Kit reveals a faded 1929 clipping proving Healey’s clean-cut past, contrasting the plan with the public’s right to know the truth. The confession leaves both characters unsettled as they part ways.

Artie McLemore led Fairview first graders as they defeated Mulberry 11 to 12 in a Wednesday game played on November 6.

The event featured a second high by Mrs. Dottie Saunders and bingo led by Mrs. James Priestly. Hostesses presented the honoree with a gift as a salad plate was served to Miss Nancy Steger. Attendees included Betsy Boswell Betty Witherspoon Mrs McKerrick Mrs Jack Richardson Mrs Reid Spivy Jr Mrs James Prest ley Mrs Randell McMahon Mr John Day Mrs Lynwood Massey and Mrs J R Rainey with Greenville connections.
The Education Division of the Woman's Councils of the First Christian Church hosted a 3 o'clock Monday program. Mrs C H Van Zanet directed the agenda and introduced guest speaker Mrs Eddie Hodge from the First Methodist Church who reviewed the study "The Uprooted Americans." About twenty five attended before closing with a song and benediction.
The first Methodist church Couples Cla vu hosts its annual turkey dinner at 7 PM in the church dining room. It ends a six week contest won by Earl Gross and wife and lost by Hump Harper and wife. Many new members joined during the period and are set to attend tonight.
Fairview school announces honor roll for the first six weeks listing students including Paula Bullard Floyd McLemore eighth grade Mary Joe Flemming seventh grade Donald Holt Patsy Ruth Fleming sixth grade Junior Boult Bobby Gene Nelson and Bul Burks in various grade levels.
A bridge party at Mrs. James Carmichael's home honored Miss Virgina Rainey who will wed December 14 to Richard Noble Conolly of Houston. Guests included Mrs. John F James of Farmersville and Miss Sarah Elles Carmichael of Sherman. the house featured yellow chrysanthemums and mums. High bridge score went to Mrs. McKee Orick.
Mrs May Goin marked her 74th birthday at home in Gober with a buffet lunch Sunday. Attendees included J T Hale and daughters Dorothy Dale and Mary Janice of Benninton Oklahoma, Bill Goin of Bonham, John Gary and daughters Bully Katherine of Bailey, plus Leslie Daniel, E A Dozier, Maurice Dozier and daughter Dolores of Gober.
