Firemen report Edgar Nash set records Tuesday morning during an A and R grocery alarm call while playing a domino game he toppled a chair and nearly fell through a wall but finished the game.

Deer scarce in Red River county dashes hunt

Glen Turner learned deer were less plentiful in Red River county than in past years and quit after a day in the field. He headed home after the Bonham McKinney game Friday night and joined friends to see the Giants tame the Cowboys. Bob Davis had his first hay ride Saturday night, coal and all.

Bonham Band Wins Two Firsts at Region II Contest

Bonham marching band directed by Tommy Neugent earned the sole two number one ratings in marching and inspection at the Region II AAA band contest in Mesquite. Lancaster Ennis J. J. Pearce and McKinney also placed in marching, with Bonham the only 3-AAA division band to achieve top scores in both categories. The band credited new uniforms and community support for the top ratings.
