Lloyd and Boyd Cox of Bonham Texas were wounded in Europe during World War II. Boyd landed on D-Day with combat engineers in France, later had a leg amputated and received the Purple Heart. Red Army tanks and infantry pushed up to 13 miles in a wide outflanking move east of Budapest, reaching within seven miles of Jazbereny and seizing over 30 Hungarian towns.
