Farm Bureau Meets at Windom in Fannin County
The Fannin County Farm Bureau met in Windom on Thursday October 30. J T Woodson county president called the meeting to order and Carl Wright gave the welcome address. Several resolutions were passed and Choice Moore spoke on The Importance of the Farm Bureau. Next regular meeting set for November 10 with cordial invitation to all members.

Hearty Oatmeal Waffles from Simple Batter
Sift together Nour baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add eggs milk and melted butter. Beat until batter is smooth. Fold in rolled oats. Bake on a hot waffle iron. Serve with butter and syrup creamed chicken or fish.

Doyle Cain Honored With Party Before Induction
Doyle Cain was feted at his parents home before departing for Dallas Tuesday morning November 4 to be inducted into the armed forces. Relatives and friends, including J A Ivey, Mrs Howard Grodd, Hoyt Ivey, W Se Cain, Dwight Cain, and the honoree, shared cake and coffee. Mrs Glen Hemphill was called to aid her mother Mrs W C Bailey of Leonard during surgery.
