Woman Hit By Car In Hendrix Suffered Serious Injuries
A Hendrix Oklahoma woman, Brenda Hines Crane, was hit by a car on East 4th Street around 9 p.m. Monday and received treatment for a left leg fracture and multiple cuts. X-rays were planned to assess additional injuries. Driver Lara Allen Floyd of Bonham stated to Patrolman J L Smith that she slowed quickly. witnesses said Crane stepped into traffic from the north curb with slick pavement noted after a light shower.

Mrs. J. J. Cunningham, 78, longtime Edhube resident, died at Allen Memorial hospital in Bonham after a two week illness. Funeral services will be at 2 30 p m Wednesday at Edhube Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Thomas and Rev. T R Hawkins officiating. Burial in Hampton Cemetery. Survivors include five sons, three sisters, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was born Myrtie Cooper in Louisiana and married J. J. Cunningham in 1895. he died in 1954.
