Sen Walter F George 78 longtime foreign policy leader announced Wednesday he will not seek re election. He indicated he would accept a post as Eisenhower personal representative in NATO work, with his term expiring in January and possible start after this session. The Rev. Clayton Hicks, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Bells, is named part time chaplain at the Bonham VA Center. He will keep his Bells church duties while serving. Pacific Grove California reports a Martine biologist sighting a pod of killer whales off the northern California coast. Richard Buoletian of the Hopkins Marine Station observed five animals on Monday: four 20-foot females and a 30-foot bull, leaping near seabirds.
Ernest G. Prater, 82, reported to Fort Worth police that his red buggy wheels were stolen by a young thief. He says the buggy is damaged and he hasn’t driven a car in over four decades. He expects officers to recover the wheels and identify the culprit.
