Passenger train No 32 eastern bound derailed near Brookston with the tender and coach off the track. No injuries reported though another west bound train arrived late and services were disrupted. The issue, says T and P president Mr Thorne, is not lack of repairs but the need for a new road.

His Right Arm Amputated After Hunting Accident
Charley Davis of two miles north of Lamasco was hunting when his gun slipped from a log and discharged into his right hand and wrist. Initial treatment avoided amputation but blood poisoning forced surgery. Dr. W. B. Lewallen amputated the arm Wednesday afternoon. Davis rests fairly well.
