J Lee Tarpley 70 a longtime Fannin county resident died at his Taylorville home six miles north of Leonard at 425 am Thursday after a lingering illness He was born in Tennessee March 6 1873 and came to Texas in 1890 at age 17 He engaged in farming in the county since then Funeral services have been set.

James T Nash, 65, died at his Windom home Wednesday morning after heart trouble. He was born and raised in Fannin County and is survived by his wife and three children. Funeral services were held in Windom Thursday afternoon with burial in Windom cemetery. He was a brother of W H Nach who lives south of Dodd City.
