Bonham merchants announce a citywide store closing all day July 4 with groceries open until 10 pm and drug stores cafes open all day. Beginning July 1, dry goods gents furnishings shoe store furniture millinery and jewelry shops will close at 6 pm each weekday in July and August except Saturdays.

Nancy Bird Crutchfield 15 daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed Crutchfield died at home after fainting at her father’s store. She was placed in an automobile and died before reaching home. Death attributed to heat prostration in Sherman Texas.
