Campaign Urges Drivers to Prevent Fourth of July Accidents
The National Safety Council and 130 organizations urge citizens to join a nationwide campaign to reduce holiday traffic deaths during the Fourth of July period. Col John Stilwell says traffic deaths rise unless drivers and pedestrians take more care amid heavy holiday travel and wartime factory activity. The effort aims to help public officials and safety leaders curb accidents that delay victory.
