Lieut Hamlet P Jones of Kaufman Texas was killed in action Private Ross Gawlette of Pittsburg killed in action Private Charlie Winston of Call Texas died of disease and Master Signal Electrician Geo M Martin of Longview dead of airplane accident.

Paris June 8 French troops cooperating with the Americans continued advances northwest of Chateau Thierry. German attacks on the southern front were repulsed with heavy losses. French lines reach west of Dammard and near Neuilly La Portere with fifty prisoners taken.
American marines and nearby units pressed forward northwest of Chateau Thierry at 1 p.m. The German counterattacks were blocked by the U S troops as they pushed their advance.
