Bonham garage advertises a speedster automobile for sale. Seller Tom Flowers offers a ready-to-drive vehicle from the Bonham shop with potential buyers invited to inspect and negotiate.
Major General John J. Pershing commander of the American Expeditionary Forces arrives in London today. He reports a pleasant voyage and expresses astonishment at the secrecy of his departure. Pershing says the welcome is significant and that the U S will play a large part on the western front as plans for France are prepared.
United Press reports Pershing’s arrival in England marks the first major disclosure after voluntary press censorship. The piece notes prior knowledge of his failure among major press associations and credits restraint for timely public reveal before his meeting with the President in Washington two weeks earlier.
June 8 report says the great Flanders offensive has captured six thousand prisoners and ongoing headway allows British cavalry into action. Gen Haig notes the captured position is among the strongest on the western front, highlighting the breakthrough of German trench defenses.

A boy evangelist preached a sermon on Abraham's faith last night and has spoken from the pulpit 800 times. Attendees are welcome to all services and parish events led by Assistant Pastor Miss Ida McVeigle.

Mrs H G Evans and her niece Miss Maury Woodson left for St. Louis to attend the St. Louis School of Fine Arts commencement exercises at Washington University. Evans will deliver an address to the class while Woodson, a graduate, will reconnect with old classmates. B OF Dyer arrived from Durant to visit his daughter Mrs Jack Russell in Russell Heights. Uncle Ben now lives in Durant but enjoys many friends in Bonham.
The Dallas Automobile Club invites Bonham residents with cars to join a parade from Bonham to Mineral Wells for the Good Roads association meeting on June 20, 1917. The program includes A. J. Batchelder of Washington DC and other speakers. The Bonham Board of Trade urges local participation to promote the city.
Dr M D Hampton of Ector declares a fine patch of Irish potatoes with many rumored to reach ten pounds each. He rushed away before providing the editor a sample, so the exact number needed to hit a ten pound weight cannot be stated.

Len Morgan and Miss Bertha Hunley were married at 7:15 at Rev. Edgar W Williams residence on North Center street. They left at 10:15 for a short visit to Houston and Galveston before returning home. The bride worked for the Bonham Telephone company and Morgan runs the Morgan Electric company securing local esteem. The Favorite extends congratulations.
Several city congregations join for a large Sunday night service at the First Christian church. Dr. Armstrong, field secretary of the Interdenominational Sabbath Observance League, will speak on the sanctity of the Sabbath and its preservation in Texas. The event aims for wide attendance and meaningful results.
Mrs. C. R. Inglish and Miss Edna Huffaker spent the day in Honey Grove demonstrating a canning kitchen for the benefit of the ladies in that community.
